In
the field of education, most Middle East societies, including the Lebanese, are
sitting atop a volcano.

university leaders, industry and governments -, the American University of
Beirut is ranked 87 in Asia (Asia University Rankings 2013 Top 100).

Lebanon
is already facing instability on all levels due to a diversity of internal and
external factors; still, it could face more political and social instability if
it under-invests in the education of its young generations.
