I was invited by the Maronite Eparchy of Byblos (Lebanon) to give 12 courses/conferences on Life Management. I started last Wednesday with an introduction to the subject, an overview of the Lebanese context (Human Rights, Women's different roles and situations, Superwoman/Superman Syndrome...). I focused yesterday on the stress factor, its diverse symptoms, what is perfection, the pill-pop culture and eating disorders which are not the solution to an over-stressed situation, the necessity of working as a society and a nation on reducing-managing the 'outside' sources of stress, etc. The next course/conference's subject will introduce to the individual management of stress, the physical dimension in life balance, and the deconstruction-reconstruction of womanhood and masculinity.
